Itec Systems, founded in 1998, is one of the market leaders within the recruitment software industry with a CRM database called itris which is used by thousands of people across 26 countries. Itec Systems are based in Pembury, Kent across two offices.
The last few years have been an exciting time for the business with itris 9, a new version of the core product having launched.
Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate UX Designer to join our growing team. As a full-time UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our digital products and services. You will be responsible for reviewing user feedback, creating wireframes and prototypes, and designing intuitive, user-centred designs that align with our brand and business goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user behaviour, have a keen eye for visual UI design, stay up to date with design trends and be able to produce high quality technical specifications for handoff to developers.
Work hours are 08:30-17:00 Monday to Friday. Flexible and hybrid working negotiable.
Responsibilities
· User Research - Analyse data and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
· Information Architecture - Organise and structure the content and features of the product to enhance usability.
· Product Strategy – Involvement with key stakeholders to contribute positively to ongoing product strategy and roadmap.
· UI Design - Design the visual elements of the product. Create high-fidelity mock-ups or prototypes with attention to detail and aesthetics.
· Interaction Design - Define how users interact with the product through various elements and ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience across different devices and platforms.
· Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers and quality assurance to align design with business goals and technical constraints.
· User-Centred Approach - Advocate for the user's perspective and prioritise user needs in design decisions. Balance user needs with business goals and technical feasibility.
· Problem Solving - Identify design challenges and propose innovative solutions to enhance the user experience.
Requirements
· You will have a passion for UX and product design.
· A portfolio showcasing some of the design projects that you have worked on, demonstrating your skills - experience with real-world projects, even if they are personal or freelance, can be valuable.
· Proficiency in design tooling such as Figma, Adobe Xd, Sketch or similar
· You will have a strong understanding of UX design principles and the user-centred design approach.
· Experience in prototyping user flows in low and high fidelity
· Effective communication, empathy, adaptability, and a collaborative attitude
· Strong written communication for project specifications and developer handoff
· Good understanding of UI and visual design including user interface design principles such as colour, layout, hierarchy, etc.
Advantageous
· Degree or certifications relating to the field of product design.
· Graphic design skills
· Though not essential, a base-level understanding of code such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript can be beneficial, especially for collaboration with developers.

Salary: £38,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
