Our growing UX department is at the forefront of our digital transformation as we look to create industry leading digital experiences to keep pace with the increasing demand for home delivery across our courier, ecommerce, and customer sectors.
As a result of this we’re looking for a UX Designer to be the voice of the user in a multidisciplinary product development team and be responsible for transforming the way customers interact with us online and on our app as part of the wider team including the principal designer, product managers and developers.
Whilst aligned to your product team, you will also be embedded in a UX team so there will be plenty of opportunity to collaborate on different projects, learn from other designers and experts in UX optimisation and Design Ops teams.

Your Responsibilities
The main focus of your role:
UX Design:
- Ensure consistency of design and UI across our products by adhering to the design principles set out in the Evri Design System
- Be a major contributor to the Evri Design System and work with other designers to maintain its robust structure and evolve its components
- Ensure components are handed over to engineering correctly and implemented accurately
- Always advocate best practice accessibility
- Create sketches, sitemaps, wireframes, lightweight prototypes, and visual designs to experiment and iterate the design of the product
- Promote empathy for customers and users within product teams
- Help and support colleagues to understand the underlying behaviours and needs of our users working with other UX designers to align behavioural theories and how they are applied
- Define the customer and user journeys and how they inform the product roadmap from a business and user need perspective
- Support story refinement and acceptance criteria definition
- Be a Brand Guardian, a custodian of the customer and courier facing digital outputs
Other areas of your role will include:
UX Advocacy:
- Build visibility of the value of UX practices within your product teams and uphold the value of UX by being an active participant in UX and product showcases
- Build visibility off Evri as a user centric organisation by playing an active role in the broader UX community
- Demonstrate the value of user centric, data driven UX practices within your product team
UX Research:
- Learn and use the suite of research tools available to carry out research that provides insightful results to support or disprove the hypotheses or customer & business needs
- Carry out upfront user, customer, and competitor research to understand user needs and insights, industry best practices to help guide future design direction
- Collaborate with the UX principal and Product Manager on the level and depth of user research and user testing required to inform the product roadmap
- Work with the UX optimisation team to understand user behaviour data and product performance benchmarks and determine success metrics
Measuring success:
- Validate designs/protypes for new features and flows with user to ensure its meets user and business needs before development starts
- Work with the team to implement A/B testing for every release
- Work with the optimisation team to report test results highlighting success areas, failures, and key lessons learned
Your Experience
Does this sound like you?
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in an enterprise level organisation. Some agency experience would also be ideal.
- Contributed to the development and maintenance of design systems, preferably at enterprise level
- Highly proficient working with wireframing and prototyping software ideally in Figma
- Demonstrate a good understanding of UX processes including user journey mapping, persona creation, sketching, and low to high fidelity wireframing and prototyping and atomic design system principles
- Experience in design to development handover
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound grasp on business and commercial factors
- A good understanding of front-end development
- Experience in agile working practices like Kanban and Scrum
- A good understanding of qualitative user research techniques and quantitative testing and analysis
- Tertiary qualification in design, UCI, psychology or related field is desirable
- Bootcamp training in UX or UI discipline is desirable
