Job description
We are looking for a talented user experience designer to join our growing Digital Team, supporting the UX Manager and Head of Digital with designing and optimising customer journeys across our digital platforms.
You will be contributing to the delivery of the digital roadmap, vision, strategy, and achievement of overall business objectives, helping Paymentshield to meet our digital ambitions.
In this role, you will design best-in-class digital experiences, embodying UCD (User Centred Design) principles with strong visual design ability and a working knowledge of responsive design.
You will work closely with the UX Manager to help support and run discovery workshops, testing wireframes and prototypes with users, utilising both quantitative and qualitative insight to inform and validate your design decisions.
You Must Have
Deep appreciation of UI and UX design.
Experience using UI/UX tools e.g. Figma/Sketch.
Good understanding of the design thinking process.
Good understanding of W3C and WCAG accessibility standards.
Experience with communicating design decisions, facilitating workshops to ensure internal stakeholders are aligned and requirements are met.
Ability to validate concepts with users.
Help support and deliver user research.
Agile/Scrum knowledge and experience of working in this kind of environment.
Champion UX best practice, evangelising the benefits of user centred design throughout the organisation.
Self-sufficient and self-motivated - keen to learn and improve.
Excellent planning and organisation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
As a UX Designer you'll be expected to bring creative range and design thinking to this role, creating high level storyboards, wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
You need to be a self-starter with excellent communication skills as you will be working with both developers, designers, product experts & internal/external stakeholders. You will also be comfortable in dealing with third parties if needed.
