Fitzpatrick Referrals Orthopaedics and Neurology is looking to expand its growing team of veterinary care assistants.
The role is central to the care of our patients, working alongside and offering support to a dedicated team of surgeons, nurses and other care assistants.
Experience working with animals, or volunteering and/or an animal management certificate is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be given, with a six-month mentoring programme.
We are looking for committed people, dedicated to the care and welfare of our patients, with an ability to work independently, use initiative and communicate well within a team.
As a key support role, the veterinary care assistant team assist the nurses and clinicians in many areas, from preparation for surgical procedures, assisting with the smooth running of the practice, as well as focusing on patient aftercare in our wards.
We have two roles available working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday and 1:10 weekends.
