Job description

We’re looking for a Utilities Supervisor to join our team working in the Bristol region. Working on the National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) contract where no two days are the same. Within this role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and to programme which will contribute to NGED's aim to provide power to the local community.


Location: Bristol - with travel to surrounding sites

Contract: Permanent, full time

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience


Responsibilities

As Utilities Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing the team responsible for all stages of excavation works on site and aspects of digging & lay on the electricity networks.


Your day-to-day will include:


  • Supporting the Local Agent in the delivery of the daily activities in setting teams to work

  • Responsible for a team of Operatives, ensuring they have the required tools and equipment to perform the planned and fault works

  • Manage and inspect the plant, as well as order and manage materials

  • Plan, manage and coordinate safety audits, incidents and investigations.

  • Liaise and communicate with the client, customers, and local authorities


Who are we looking for?


This role of Utilities Supervisor is great for you if:


  • You hold experience within the utility sector supervising a team

  • Hold NRSWA qualification / SSSTS preferably at supervisory level (however if not we’ll help you obtain this)

  • Full Driving Licence
