Sodexo have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our busy team in Colchester, Essex.
Reporting to our Admin & Training Support Services Manager, you'll be responsible for preparing the Combat Training Centre for use by the Authority for training periods.
This will include pre-use checks of the systems, handing over the facility/room to a Unit Operator to conduct the training periods and, when required provide technical assistance during the training periods as trained.
The purpose of the role is to carry out all training associated tasks across Combat Training Centre in Colchester Garrison, a 185 hectare site containing 150 buildings that vary from accommodation to maintenance facilities.

Main Responsibilities- Supervise your team as required in-line with Sodexo HR Policies and as directed by your Sodexo Manager
- To maintain excellent client/customer relationships
- To attend team briefs, huddles and meetings as required
- To attend your performance development review to discuss job standards and agree development activities
- To maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times
- To maintain high levels of personal hygiene and wear the appropriate uniform and PPE as required
- To care for all available resources including equipment, materials and supplies as directed
- To report any near miss occurrences, accidents, or faulty equipment to management
- To ensure effective communication with your manager, team, customer, and client organisation
- To maintain all areas of responsibility to the set service standards and in line with applicable service offer
- To carry out any other reasonable tasks and/or instruction as directed by management

The Ideal CandidateEssential:
- Demonstrable working knowledge of IT Systems / IT qualification (e.g. Advanced ECDL)
- Demonstrable organizational and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrable written communication skills
- Working knowledge of general Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
- Security Check level vetting required for post
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a military environment
- Previous working experience of DCCT, BBGT and VBS.
- Requires MODNET (Communications and Information System) Account and will be required to undertake Defence Information Management Passport training which is a mandatory e-learning course.
Training:
- Completion of UTF System Coordinator’s Course that will be undertaken on the UTF Facilities within Merville Barracks (Course duration is 1-week and a Pass on the course is required) with the attendance on the Course provided by the MOD.
- Completion of DCCT System Managers Course at the Infantry Battle School, Brecon that will include qualification as a Basic DCCT Operator. Course duration is 1-week and a Pass on the course is required (attendance on Course will be provided by the MOD).
- Qualified basic First Aider
