Urgent Care Staff Nurse Maidstone, England

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust
Full Time Maidstone, England 28407 - 34581 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

The NHS is changing. More emphasis on community-based care means there’s never been a better time to join us.

We believe in treating the whole person, not just the condition, so we provide flexible and holistic care in a range of community settings including patient homes, community hospitals and local clinics. We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable qualified Urgent Care Staff Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Maidstone.

Our Urgent Care Service provides a two-hour response to patients in crisis at home. Our aim is to prevent unnecessary hospital admission and facilitate early discharge from the acute hospitals. We also provide unscheduled care out-of-hours for patients who may be at the end
of life, or experiencing an urgent need for healthcare.

You will work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. You're expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy by:

  • Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments
  • Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures
  • Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by
respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning process

Additional Working Pattern: Rota of long days, early, twilight, night shifts, including weekend working

As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want you to be able to work in a way that is best for us, for our patients and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement without having to sacrifice time for personal interests or family commitments.
