Peace Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with one of the most exciting and unique businesses within the built environment. Our client is one of the UK’s leading enablers of custom and self-build housing projects, working with public and private landowners across the UK.
Due to an ever-growing pipeline and recent investment, our client is scaling the business allowing them to deliver over 5000 custom and self-build homes each year. This will include detached, semi-detached, terraced homes and apartments for both market and affordable sectors, as well as larger serviced plots for building groups.
With the above in mind, this is a fantastic opportunity for an Urban Designer/Masterplanner to join their rapidly growing team in the South London office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare viable layouts for new custom housing sites of varying sizes
- Undertake site feasibility and urban design appraisals
- Prepare Design & Access Statements and masterplans with our town planning team
- Prepare Design Codes and Plot Passports
- Produce drawn & written information at each stage of the application process
Essential Requirements:
- Degree qualified within a relevant subject
- Up to 5 years' experience within an urban design and/or development planning or masterplanning role
- A working knowledge of the planning system with an ability to interpret and adapt to specific local authority design guidance
- Visioning and masterplanning for both large and small sites, with a commercially astute approach to residential design layout
- Experience of using AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D design software
- Full UK driver’s licence

- Salary £35,000 - £38,000 DOE
