We are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join a team of Underwriters and Senior Underwriters, where you will be given the training to help the Underwriting team provide excellent customer service. You will be responsible for providing support to the Underwriters, contributing to the achievement of the overall strategic plan. As Underwriting Assistant, you will provide administrative assistance to our Regional Marine team. You'll also have the opportunity to review our processes and suggest improvements

What will you be doing?
As the Underwriting Assistant you will have a wide variety of administrative duties. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Support delivery and enhance productivity of general underwriting operations.
- Maintain agreed input to management reports and provide updates as required.
- Processing policies, endorsements and liaise with Underwriting support teams.
- Develop and update reference material
- Reducing re-work & creating efficiencies where possible.
- Promptly handle and positively resolve non underwriting enquiries from brokers, and colleagues.
- Meet agreed performance measures: including high quality and timely data input to systems.
- Achieve targets to maintain productivity, quality and service standards.
- Ensure that accurate records are maintained and the prompt production of quality documentation, in accordance with guidelines.
- Assist and support co-workers who maintain relationships with customers.

- It would be great if you had Marine and/or Freight experience but don't worry if you don't as we will be able to support you.
