Data is a key part of AXA’s journey “from Payer to Partner”, and its transformation to a Data Driven company. To succeed in this journey, AXA Partners Data Strategy has been organised around 6 pillars: Enable Business initiatives, Protect Data, Organize and Govern initiatives, Manage Data, Empower People on Data, Deliver and operate Data Platforms.
Data Analysis is therefore the cornerstone of the data transformation path, turning data into actionable information, delivering insights or enhancing business processes and customer journey, to provide at the end business value across AXA Partners. We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our team based at our Redhill office on a hybrid contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance and maintain advanced production analytical systems
o Design, test, deliver Target Data Assets (datamarts, cube, reports/dashboards)
o Use and implement guidelines/best practices on data lake, data warehousing, data marts modelling, cubes and reporting/ dashboarding
o Engage with the business to understand requirements and develop solutions which meet end user needs
o Perform technical or functional demonstrations for end users
- Define and document procedures and Data Assets, following Central guidelines & standards on Data Analytics
o Assure and manage Data Assets quality by defining & implementing data quality routines along sustainable
o development regarding performances, to meet business expectations
o Work closely with central Data Analyst experts and raise enhancements needs on Data Platform, guidelines or documentation
o Help in defining ownership, deploying governance (data domains, KPIs etc.) within the organisation
- Promote value and adoption of analytics amongst your data team and within the organisation
o Lead data analytics projects from initiation, design, development and deployment to deliver high quality data assets and business insights for the business
- Drive the adoption of technologies, data, processes and best practices in your data team and amongst the data community
o Bring expertise on related BI & Data Analytics topics and provide ad-hoc advises to support business users in the use of analytics system
o Promote and increase overall maturity of analytics usage across the organisation
Your Profile
Technical skills and experience
- You are fluent in business intelligence theory (dimensional modelling: Kimball, star schema etc., database, data warehousing, datamarts, data lakes, dimensional and tabular cubes, KPIs, etc.)
- You have experience applying a range of Data Visualisation techniques, reporting and dashboarding
- You have knowledge and experience of reporting solution design including Azure platforms, Pegasus, Attunity, Wax, R, SQL, Python, Spark, Power BI, Business Objects
- You are fluent in SQL
- You have a good understanding of the software development process and knowledge in Azure DevOps is a plus
- Understanding of Azure Cloud Datalake, Databricks, Spark, or NoSQL DB are a plus
- Strong communicator, able to mock-up, prototype and formalise efficiently business requirements into advanced analytical capabilities
- Entrepreneurial, team and can-do spirit, able to work unsupervised and with problem-solving skills, constantly striving for effective solutions
- Creativity, innovation mindset and ability to correctly take into account technologies low stacks
- Customer-centric with quick reactivity on issues or changing requirements to deliver high-level of service
- Working with Agile mindset in an international, multicultural and complex environment (English is mandatory) with high willingness to share, teach and advise
