- Leadership Development
- Total Rewards
Fully remote anywhere in the UK
What we offer:
If you are in your penultimate year at university and want to get hands-on experience of working at one of the world’s leading organisational consulting firms, Korn Ferry’s 10-week paid summer internship programme could be just the answer. The programme will run from 26th June until 1st September 2023.
As a summer intern with Korn Ferry, you will have the opportunity to learn about Korn Ferry, our capabilities and solutions. You will gain first-hand experience of working on client projects as part of a team within the Korn Ferry Institute (KFI).
Within Korn Ferry, the Korn Ferry Institute (KFI) provides thought leadership, research, data and expertise to support our clients and Korn Ferry lines of business (Consulting, Digital, Talent Acquisition).
Established in 2008, the KFI is an innovation center focused on illuminating key trends and drivers of human and organizational performance. We develop and infuse robust scientific research, cutting-edge intellectual property, and state-of-the-art analytics into the five Korn Ferry solutions.
You would sit within the global Data and Analytics team which focuses on delivering deep insights to clients, working collaboratively with our colleagues across the business in the areas of individual, team, and organizational performance.
Korn Ferry owns an unrivalled suite of tools to collect, measure, and assess individual, team, and organizational performance. Our data encompasses everything from individual assessment tools (psychometric assessments, cognitive ability tests, and multi-rater tools to assess competency and leadership capability) through to team and organization-level assessments (to measure topics such as team performance, culture, and engagement) to the world’s most highly regarded pay database on employee pay and benefits, and the world’s largest library of data-driven success profiles.
About the role
As a Data Engineer, working closely with our Director of Data Management and Senior Azure Synapse Data Engineer you will support our move to a modern data architecture and build-out of our data estate. Specifically, you will leverage your strong SQL skills to help transform, move and update large datasets into and within our Synapse environment.
You will also have the opportunity to build networks with colleagues and peer groups locally and internationally with peers taking part in Korn Ferry’s Intern programme in other international offices.
This is an amazing opportunity to use your SQL knowledge in the workplace and gain exposure to using Azure Synapse.
If you do well, you may be offered a graduate role for 2024.
What we ask:
- The London intern program is open to students in their penultimate year of studying, who are on track to pass their undergraduate degree in 2024.
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge and experience using SQL, with ability to manipulate large and complex datasets.
- We look for a diverse range of skills and experience and are interested in candidates who are actively involved in extracurricular activities whilst successfully balancing academic study.
- You should be naturally curious and keen to use your analytical, problem-solving skills to generate creative solutions to client challenges.
- You must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems.
- All candidates must have the right to work permanently in the UK, this could be by being a UK citizen or having ‘Settled’ status. This is to ensure you can work full time in the summer of 2023, and be considered for our graduate programme in 2024.
To apply, please send us your CV with a tailored covering letter outlining what makes you a good candidate and why you would be interested in an Internship with Korn Ferry.
