SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Your main responsibility will be to effectively manage, motivate and support the Offshore Services Project Operations team in the office, workshops and on global projects both on and offshore. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a full time permanent position to be based at our Sotherby Road office. Global travel at short notice will be required.

- Working at the Mammoet Offshore Services office in Middlesbrough, with both UK and worldwide travel required.
Your main responsibility will be to effectively manage, motivate and support the Offshore Services Project Operations team in the office, workshops and on global projects both on and offshore. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a full time permanent position to be based at our Sotherby Road office. Global travel at short notice will be required.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Day to day people management: Overseeing planning of personnel, managing holidays, sickness and other absence, approval of timesheets supported by the Personnel Planner
- Equipment planning: Overseeing planning and logistics of Offshore Services' global fleet of equipment supported by the EMD Department, Equipment Planner and Logistics Manager
- Recruitment: Proactively participate in the recruitment process including shortlisting CV's and interviewing candidates in conjunction with the HR Department
- Disciplinaries/Grievances: Conduct investigations, lead disciplinary and grievance meetings with support from Human Resources
- SHEQ: Ensure that the operations team are in compliance with both Mammoet and customer standards, and that policies and procedures are followed. Driving proactive reporting of oberservations and incidents within the operations team, for example encouraging the use of the Take5 system
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
- A minimum of five years relevant industry experience
- People management experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong level of English, both verbal and written
- Proven ICT ability, e.g. able to use Microsoft Office to a high standard
- Valid UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to Mammoet facilities and projects globally at short notice
Desirable:
- Qualified to degree lebel in a Technical/Logistics discipline
- Experience in key areas such as working on fabrication yards, cable and pipe pulling, offshore lifting
- Knowledge of SAP
