About the Job

As the UK Student Recruitment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the University of East London as the destination of choice for students across London and beyond. Working closely with schools, colleges, and prospective students, you will be the driving force behind increasing our recruitment numbers. Your commercial approach and expertise in the UEL portfolio will enable you to develop a strong network and foster market growth to drive the recruitment pipeline.

In this front-facing role, you will actively engage in off-site student-focused recruitment activities, representing the university as a passionate ambassador at recruitment events. You'll plan and coordinate our attendance at various external exhibitions, including undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment fairs, careers events, and wider sector activity. Your expertise in the UEL proposition will be invaluable as you provide timely and accurate advice to prospective students and develop effective relationships with key influencers. Additionally, you'll be involved in identifying new markets and opportunities, using data and insight to inform recruitment strategies. Your meticulous research and analytics skills will help you evaluate the effectiveness of our recruitment events, ensuring a focus on return on investment.

About You

Your exemplary customer service and communication skills will allow you to build rapport with various audience groups. Being digitally-focused and adept at using new technologies will enhance your ability to deliver exceptional results. With first-rate organisational skills, you’ll have a proactive can-do attitude towards all elements of operational delivery. Your passion for higher education and understanding of student recruitment will be evident in your approach.
