UK Based Residential Summer School Staff - Bruton

UK Based Residential Summer School Staff - Bruton Bruton, England

Project International
Full Time Bruton, England 8.38 - 12.75 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

Please note this position begins on the 3rd July and we have contracts for 2 - 4 weeks from that date.

We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals who are passionate about working with children and young people from all over the world.

We have various positions available to suit all sorts of personalities and experience.

We are running 9 residential centres during summer 2023 with various start dates in July and contracts of between 1 and 6 weeks.

Most positions involve the teaching of English as a foreign language in addition to the organisation of activities (sporting & non sporting), helping out with social events in the evenings, escorting excursions, and day and evening residential duties. To teach, applicants need to be fluent speakers. Teacher training is provided. Qualifications are preferable but not as important as a passion to teach and work with the students.

We also have positions available (in charge of different areas of the programme i.e. activities, excursions, social programme, welfare etc.).

All positions are residential and no charge is made for food or accommodation. This does mean, that potentially, you are ‘on call’ 24hrs a day but staff are given a day off each week, as well as (where possible), a session (morning, afternoon, or evening) off per day. Relevant qualifications, experience and responsibility are all taken very much into account.

The job is great fun, you become part of a closely knit and friendly team and you make many new friends and contacts. You are also working in a healthy environment, with excellent facilities and you learn a lot about yourself! Of course the job is demanding but tremendously rewarding too. As a teacher you will gain a lot of fulfilment from a residential programme where you get to know the students in an informal, as well as formal, situation.

Applicants will be expected to show their dedication to the welfare of students.
