We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Country Real Estate Manager for the UK and Ireland. You'll be managing the UK and Ireland facilities, fully supporting the businesses requirements and prioritising the health and safety of everyone that attends Hitachi Energy’s premises. You will also support the business with researching and planning for the best allocation and utilisation of space and resources for new buildings and/or reorganising current premises.
As Real Estate Manager, you'll be overseeing and managing the countries current real estate facilities and supporting the development of any new facilities including those shared with other Hitachi entities in the country. Responsibilities:
Analyse, propose and support in implementing Real Estate function to improve efficiency, performance and cost-effective service delivery.
Work flexibly to undertake the management of services and processes that supports the core business.
Represent the groups Real Estate values in the UK and Ireland.
Manage the Real Estate budget, including reporting, monitoring, forecasting and back charging in collaboration with management and FM for all RE figures (CAPEX, OCC, IFM)
Plan the Real Estate footprint for future development in line with strategic business objectives, investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises. Includes the sharing of existing facilities within the wider Hitachi portfolio and strategic space management, closely coordinating with Corporate Real Estate.
In collaboration with the legal team, negotiate lease contracts and contracts administration
Disposition, acquisition and sales of land and buildings.
Close alignment with IT function.
Background:
NEBSS Diploma, Supervisory Management NEBOSH General Certificate & IOSH Managing Safely is desired for this position.
Previous experience in a similar Real Estate position
High level of awareness around HSSE topics
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Able to effectively interact with a wide range of people.
