We are looking for a talented UI designer, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, to join our growing Brandpie Digital team.

The digital team plays a central part in the business and works closely with all other teams and services we offer. We see ourselves as far more than a production team and are involved heavily in the strategic work across the business. Using design thinking and user experience research approaches to help augment our consultancy processes. Our work then carries through into creative thinking and, ultimately, execution, working closely with our brand design teams, consultants and clients to realise how the business should represent itself online. Designing, and often building, experiences for websites, intranets and (sometimes) products.

THE ROLE
We’re looking for an talented visual designer / user interface designer to join our growing Digital team. Working closely with the user experience, technical and branding teams, you will help lead user interface design aspects across our client and internal projects. Creating design systems, interface designs and interaction design solutions for smaller digital-focused projects, through to larger multi-national branding projects.
You’ll need to be a clear communicator and team player, who’s comfortable working in a small, cross-disciplinary team. Collaborating with a mix of user experience designers, strategists, copywriters and consultants to deliver user-centric, value-based design solutions. You’ll also need to be comfortable working in a hybrid model; sometimes from home, sometimes from our central-London based office, depending on the needs of the project.
You must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in visual and user interface design. With a background working in creative, design-orientated environments, delivering design solutions across all web and mobile digital forms. Ideally, you’ll have experience working on B2B and B2C projects within an agency or consultancy environment.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate closely with clients and teams within Brandpie to explore, define and design solutions for small to large-scale projects
- Work closely with the brand design team to develop digital characteristics of a brand identity
- Be a thought leader for digital and user interface design across the business
- Take a lead in our small but nimble team. Working directly with the digital partners to drive design quality and help forge ways to evolve our design approaches and processes
- Help support junior members of the team and interns
- Present your work and ideas to other teams and clients
- Take a lead role in design workshops, alongside the UXD team
- Support the senior team on client pitches
Skills you’ll need:
- Proven experience working as a designer delivering world-class digital and user interface experiences
- Experience working in an agency/creative environment, ideally with brand/visual identity background
- Confident using industry standard design applications, but specifically Figma to create complex interface designs
- Experience working with a wider design team to define the website visual language as part of new brand development
- Understanding of digital Design Systems, design processes and front-end implementation
- Comfortable working in a small digital team to lead delivery and support implementation
- Bring ideas and approaches to enhance user experience, interactions, and motion design
- Be a confident presenter of your work, and explaining your solutions to colleagues and clients
- Be a pragmatic, self-starting person who is happy working remotely
- Able to think strategically and conceptually
- Be a natural problem solver – asking the right questions to get to the answer
- Experience in delivering a range of projects; from small, rapid projects through to larger-scale digital projects
- Experience working on projects across a range of mediums, for example: mobile applications, responsive web, product and service design
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility levels and best practices for visual design
- Fluent in English with a strong command of the language, both written and spoken
- Happy to work remotely
Nice to have skills:
- Previous experience in B2B projects
- Experience designing for multi-language solutions – including Arabic and Mandarin
- Have an understanding of basic web development or even some coding experience
- Have motion design experience
- Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field, such as Interaction Design, Web Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design etc

- Generous reward package: We provide industry competitive salaries that reflect experience and ability. We anticipate the salary for this role to be between £40k-£50k. We also offer additional benefits including medical and life insurance, gym membership contributions and a company pension scheme.
