Job Title: Groundworker - tree surgery & landscaping
Graftingardeners Ltd is a family run company established in 2009. Since then, the company has grown considerably and now employs 10 teams as well as a number of landscaping and gardening specialists.
With an excellent reputation, our multiple specialist crews are contracted to work at some of the most prestigious locations in London and the surrounding areas. Our clientele comprises both the commercial and residential sectors including housing associations, schools, the construction and insurance industries, utilities, local authorities and the domestic market.
Our commitment to excellent customer service has brought about continued growth and we now need additional tree groundworkers to join our team to service this additional demand.
The role would suit someone with previous experience of tree works, gardening or landscaping, who is looking to become Team Leader within a short time. Alternatively you may already be a team leader looking to take on more responsibility within a large organisation
MUST HAVES:
You must have a full clean UK driving license and the right to work in the UK. Any further driving qualifications would be a bonus
A valid CSCS card is also required – or the ability to take and pass the test to acquire one
Ground based experience of assisting climbers
THE CANDIDATE
You will be meeting onsite with Clients so you should feel comfortable in this role and be able to represent the Company well at all times.
You will be responsible for directing your team and ensuring all site safety requirements are met
You will be comfortable using the usual manual tools for gardening and pruning and be accustomed to manual work.
Physical fitness is key to the successful performance of the Groundsman / Landscaping aspect of your duties
You will enjoy working as part of a team and have a helpful and flexible attitude as well as a polite manner with customers.
You must be reliable and punctual. The yard is based in Leatherhead, so you should be able to start work reliably by 0630.
Desirable qualifications include First Aid at Work + F, Chapter 8 signing, lighting & guarding, Woodchipper, Stump grinder, and Chainsaw tickets although these are not mandatory and experience in the role is just as important.
Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience but is very competitive for the right person
