Tutor - Early Years
Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week - Flexible Hours/Remote Working Available
Location: Grimsby, DN31 1NX
Reporting To: Head of Quality
Salary: From £20,000 Per Annum, Negotiable Dependent on Experience
Main Purpose (Intent):
. Identify individual starting points and successfully support learner progression, implementing effective use of formative and summative assessments to do so, utilising our online learning platform.
. Plan, prepare and deliver high quality learning sessions: through stand-up delivery in person and streamed live to remote learners.
. Aid the progression of learners to achieve positive impact.
Key Duties and Responsibilities (Implementation):
. Carry out initial and on-going assessment of learning needs to enable effective and achievable individual learning plans that set agrees SMART targets, which are reflected upon during the learning journey
. Conduct engaging induction and on-programme interventions with learners, including the setting of challenging targerts that enable learners to learn new skills and progress through their learner journey
. Plan and deliver engaging, quality first teaching and learning sessions and masterclasses, in person and in a virtual classroom environment, ensuring learners are making reasonable progress
. Ensure the CRM system (e.g. Zoho CRM) is updated and maintained in a timely and accurate manner, whilst adhering with data protection and GDPR regulations
. Maintain accurate and robust learner records that support out financial claim with funding regulators, as well as demonstrate the quality of interventions with learners
. Support learners to develop their employability and soft skills to underpin their future progression and career aspirations
. Ensure accurate and timely marking of learner work and assessments (to include practice tests and re-sits), ensuring that feedback to learners is constructive and comprehensive to enable learners to understand where they have demonstrated a sound understanding and where further learning may be required
. Support curriculum development and planning with high quality learning sessions, materials and resources
. Organise and facilitate formative and summative assessments, in line with awarding organisation expectations and adhering to robust Think Employment procedures
. Take shared ownership for tracking and monitoring of learner destinations to ensure that all positive progressions, including employment outcomes, are appropriately recorded and funding gained where eligible
. Ensure that learner attendance and participation is closely monitored, and that poor attendance and punctuality is challenged in accordance with Think Employment policies and systems
Other Responsibilities:
. Keep up-to-date with Think Employment policies and procedures, as well as other industry standards to ensure that you are working within the appropriate framework and guidelines for our team to deliver a high-quality service offer
. Follow guidance and procedures for reporting incidents – such as safeguarding, prevent and health and safety – to ensure that the Designated Officers/Management Team can adhere to legislative reporting requirements
