Job description

Join an expanding company, based out of a newly renovated Coventry warehouse (CV3), as one half of a new two-man delivery team, delivering / installing a variety of games tables.

The vast majority of deliveries are made to customers in England and Wales and vary between residential customers, small, medium and large businesses, the occasional military base, secure hospital or prison, so the successful applicant can expect a varied day in respect of product and delivery point.

Your average day will consist of an early morning start, sometimes reaching customer site as early as 6am and returning to base between late morning and early afternoon (11am – 2:30pm). The route length will vary but typically average 9.5 hours per day and be undertaken by a team of two (sharing the driving), typically consisting of 4 – 10 stops, depending on complexity of job and weight of product.

Each team are expected to load their own van the previous day (approximately 30 minutes), in order to facilitate the ‘early start / early finish’ process, although help is always on hand to advise and assist with the loading process.

Each route will have been planned for you, with thorough customer information and delivery instructions provided for each job. Each customer will have been provided an accurate time window for their delivery, which is improved upon by yourself or your colleague with a call on the way.

The successful applicant should possess the following qualities;

· Ability to problem solve when required

· Willingness to learn new skills

· Able to take instruction well

· A smart and presentable appearance with a good standard of personal hygiene (partial uniform provided)

The position will require the following attributes;

· Physically capable of lifting heavy items, whilst communicating with a colleague

· Prepared for early morning starts

· Reliably commutable on a daily basis to CV3

· Full UK driving licence (clean licence preferred)

· Good standard of commercial vehicle driving ability required

· Good knowledge of road / traffic laws expected

Other key info about the position

· 40 - 47.5 hours per week (maximum)

· Starting salary £22k - £26k depending on age and experience (reviewed after 3-6 months)

· Monday – Friday (with the option of occasional Saturdays -paid as overtime)

· Vehicle (Luton van) and tools provided

· Full training will be given (no previous experience necessary)

· Optional pension scheme
