Your Local Tutors was initially a small service operating out of the founder's residential home in Wimbledon. Eventually, our founder became exceptionally busy spending her weekends legging it around London to visit her favourite little ones. Since then, Your Local Tutors has taken the bull by the horns and expanded the service to be there when children and families need us the most. It is no longer run by the founder alone as we have a range of tutors and specialise in connecting them to the children who need us. Our work often involves supporting a student to catch up with the curriculum, prepping students for sitting an entry exam, assisting them to master a particular topic or mentoring to build up confidence- whatever it is, we're here! At Your Local Tutors, we aim to leave all of our students feeling a little more empowered and a lot more inspired.
Could you help us on our mission?
We'd love for you to join our fun and friendly team of tutors! We are looking specifically for tutors with experience helping students pass grammar/private/selective school entry exams (7+ and 11+ exams). The right candidates will live in Wimbledon, New Malden, Kingston and surrounding areas of South London/Surrey. Please note, most of our tutoring enquiries are face-to-face and tutoring generally takes place between the hours of 3pm and 8pm.

Please pay close attention to our eligibility requirements below before applying
ELIGIBILITY:
- MUST have experience helping children pass their 11+ and/or 7+ grammar/private/selective school entry exams, WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM THOSE WITHOUT SPECIFIC 11+/7+ EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)
- Our tutors must live within Wimbledon, New Malden, Kingston and surrounding areas the right candidate will live no more than 40 minutes away from these listed areas (REQUIRED)
- MUST have some professional experience working with children and/or young people e.g. teaching assistants, teachers, youth workers, childcare practitioners etc. (REQUIRED)
- Must be available for weekly face to face sessions (REQUIRED)
- Educated to degree level (DESIRABLE)
- Immediate start (DESIRABLE)
