We're looking for an Animal Care Tutor (Part-Time) to work for our client.

Responsibilities:
- To teach courses, NVQs and vocational qualifications specified by the Programme Manager to learners of all ages from Level 1 to Level 3; this includes practical and theoretical knowledge. These courses range from basic to advanced. Teaching and assessment will be a combination of classroom based within our clients branches and in the employers’ premises. This will also involve online e-teaching and assessment
- Classes will be two to three days per week delivered at each of our clients branches in L’Derry, Strabane and Omagh to learners aged 16-18 years old undertaking Level 1 and Level 2 Work Based qualifications in Animal Care
- Participating actively in the enrolment, monitoring and assessment of learners
- Providing individual learning plans and provide support for learners in line with requirements of the course
- You will also be responsible for a cohort of Apprentice learners and travel to their workplaces, based across Northern Ireland, to deliver practical training, conduct on-site assessments and provide employer feedback a minimum of once per month. Therefore a full clean driving licence is essential.

Essential Requirements:
- Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in animal care or equivalent
- A full clean driving licence
- Experience of mentoring or tutoring ideal but not essential
- Additional experience of managing your own time
- Further experience of managing learning and development plans
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with learners with a range of abilities and motivation
- A high level of it competence including the MS Office package with proficiency in excel in particular
- Effective time management skills
- Willing to travel to site across Northern Ireland to provide support to learners
Desirable Criteria:
- Hold a recognised Assessors Award / Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (D33 / A1)
- Have experience in delivering teaching, training, NVQs and other components of an Apprenticeship would be advantageous
- Level 4 Certificate in Teaching / PGCE or equivalent
- Ability to utilise ICT
