Job description

Location: Kings Lynn and Wisbech

Hours: 30 per week (working pattern to be agreed), 38 weeks per year

Salary: £16,204 - £18,010

We have an exciting opportunity for existing staff as a Skills Tutor supporting our level 1 learners in carpentry across our Kings Lynn and Wisbech sites. Skills Tutors are an integral part of our curriculum staff and provide hands on practical guidance and support to students in the workshops and beyond.

You must hold a level 2 carpentry qualification. You must also hold level 2 English and Maths (or be willing to obtain).

We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Technology team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.

We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance of 37 days per year for support staff, plus five College closure days plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata for part-time and factored into salary for part year roles as leave is deemed to be taken during college closure periods), fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme with the Teachers' Pension Scheme (current employer contribution is 23.68%), discounts with local businesses and access to a cycle to work scheme. CWA focusses on staff well-being and utilises both internal and external resources, such as a well-being committee and access to a free and confidential counselling telephone line as well as comprehensive training and development.

There is an opportunity to discuss options for job share or reduced hours for the right candidate.
