We are recruiting a permanent full time Business Analyst

About You and the Role

We’ve got an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic and talented team.

As part of Strategy, Solutions and Architecture (SSA) you’ll play a critical role in the successful delivery of IT projects, gathering and documenting requirements, and maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of business users, other teams in Enterprise IS and external suppliers. Our project portfolio includes projects that deliver value to our Customers through use of new technologies and across a range of business applications and business areas. This could include implementing a new Wide Area Network to enhancements to a CRM or Finance system to keeping our security defences up to date.

The successful candidate will possess previous experience of working in a business analyst/systems analyst role with a skill set developed in a similar customer-facing role working closely with business customers to develop technology-based solutions.

You’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to work closely with IT Suppliers who provide 3rd party solutions and be confident defining requirements based on user requirements.

To successfully deliver this role you’ll possess excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to build strong relationships at all levels.

Where you’d be based

SDS embraces agile working, therefore, location is flexible. However, there will be a requirement for regular travel to Glasgow. SDS are in an Interim phase of a hybrid working approach and currently expect colleagues to be in an SDS office 2 days,
