Shred Station are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and flexible HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team at our Norwich depot in Rackheath, for our multidrop/collection role.
We require any individual applying for this role to be prepared to undertake physical manual handling tasks, and pass our security vetting checks.

Principal Accountabilities:
The driver will be expected to:
1. Drive the company’s rigid commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Keep the company’s and our customer’s information secure at all times.
3. Assist the driver’s mate in the collection and/or destruction of customer’s confidential waste.
4. Undergo an in-depth check of their employment and residence history.
5. Be prepared to undertake security checks up to UK Government SC level including a DBS check every 3 years.
6. Complete Waste Transfer Notes/Certificates of Destruction appropriately.
7. Abide by company policies and procedures.
8. Undertake any and all appropriate training programs.
9. Complete and return an accurate timesheet each month.
10. Inform the Operations Manager of any changes to their circumstances relating to the holding of an appropriate driving license and CPC.
11. Ensure timely and effective communication with the Operations Manager and wider Management Team takes place as and when required.
12. Be responsible for their own, their colleagues, the customers and the general public’s health & safety during the course of their work activities.
13. Carry out such other responsibilities and activities as can reasonably be required in accordance with the nature of the post.
14. Ensure that services are provided safely and in accordance with the company’s Standards, policies, including equality, diversity & inclusion and the company objective of quality assurance.
15. Start times may vary from 5 am to 7 am.
16. A minimum guarantee of 40 hours a week.
To be considered for this role you will be required to meet security screening checks to BS7858 standards including; 5-year employment & residence check, DBS and a financial history check.
PLEASE NOTE: As part of this role will involve entering care homes and NHS sites, to carry out their duties, the post-holder will be required to provide care homes and NHS sites (NHS from 01/04/2022) with satisfactory evidence that they have been double-vaccinated against Covid-19 or a medical exemption, in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) (No. 2) Regulations 2022. A lateral flow test and/or wearing a mask may also be requested before entrance is permitted to client sites.
