Role: Professional Log Truck Driver I CT VID

Summary description:

Responsible for load securement and the transportation of logs from the loading site to unloading sites in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintaining good conditions of vehicles and trailers following all applicable regulations, rules and safety procedures from LOTS Group, customers and worksites. Report deviations to leadership when they occur. Ensure the conservation and safety of vehicles and keeping the professional license document up to date and valid.

Key activities:

• Comply with the daily transportation planning
• Operate trucks according to standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Report deviations, incidents and accidents through Deviation App and to leadership
• Perform pre trip safety check
• Follow national traffic laws and LOTS Group, customers and workplace safety rules
• Maintain current Class One Driver’s license and any other required professional qualifications
• Maintain the company's vehicles and trailers in good condition and conservation
• Fulfill the daily activities appointed by its leader
• Perform daily and periodic inspection and minor maintenance of vehicle, including fueling;
• Wash the truck and trailer weekly to maintain a low tare weight and maintain our ‘on brand’ professional image
• Clean cab of truck regularly and maintain on brand professional image;
• Always operate the vehicle safely in a professional manner, in accordance with all laws, regulations and Company policies
• Use Company’s electronic logging device (ELD) to track hours of service and other telematics data
• Provide exceptional service to all external partners (contractors and mills)
• Carry out other activities required by the company inherent to the position

Qualifications:

• Class One Driver’s License
• Clean Driver’s Abstract

Weekly deliveries:

• Paperwork into office delivery
• Weekly Safety Meeting

Monthly deliveries:

• Trainings when requested by LOTS
