We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to be based at our site in Wellingborough, on our contract with Homebase. As part of this busy transport operation, you’ll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers across Monday-Friday. We will also require some flexibility to cover weekends on rota.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
Support the Operations Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence- Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
- Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment
What you need to succeed at XPO:
It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet- Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment
- Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours
