This growing A.I & Data Consultancy start-up, is looking for a Junior Level 3 Data Technician Apprentice to join their team, following an 8-week Data Analytics Skills Bootcamp and successful interview. You will receive personal mentoring from company directors and industry expert training with award-winning training provider The Development Manager.

As an apprentice Data Technician your duties can include:

  • Gather business requirements
  • Set up and maintain data feed/stores
  • Performance of Data Analytics & Insight Tasks
  • Building of management dashboards
  • Set up and maintain data products
Entry requirements

Minimum of 4 X GCSEs grades 9-4 (A-C) including English and Mathematics

Essential Skills:
  • Understanding of what data is and how is can be collected
  • Have some experience of working with data, such as spreadsheets or databases
  • Possess an understanding of why data security is important
  • Have knowledge of SQL (any variant of SQL)
  • Problem-solving skills, are able to think creatively to find solutions where they are not obvious
  • Possess a logical and analytical mindset; ability to manipulate and explore data to find insight
  • An innovative mindset, someone who is keen to find ways to improve on existing systems and processes
Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Knowledge of Mathematics (ideally A Level equivalent)
  • An active interest in A.I. and Machine Learning; can effectively communicate projects they have read about or made themselves.
  • Experience with a statistical or Object-Oriented programming language
  • Experience setting up and managing databases
  • Experience using API’s
  • Project experience of Machine Learning or Statistical Computing (any level)
  • Experience with Dashboarding tool such as Microsoft PowerBI
  • Experience with Data Science tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, or visualisation libraries in any programming language.
Training to be provided

Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
The successful candidate will undertake an eighteen-month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM. This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions.

You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. These block weeks will take place online through our Virtual Learning Environment

You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of the programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

This is a Level 3 qualification.
