Job description
We're looking for seasonal additions to our small Heliport's welcoming transport teams - providing an efficient & friendly electric shuttle service for guests arriving and departing by helicopter or boat, on the beautiful sub-tropical Isles of Scilly, UK.
We have availability for couples with roles for partner's available in our housekeeping, kitchen or front of house teams!
Duties Include:
- Providing first-class customer service, including taking pride in your uniform and your appearance as you often the first and last point of contact with our customers
- Driving electric busses to drop guests to their accommodation at the start of their stay, and pick them up on their departure
- Welcoming passengers and checking them in on arrival at the heliport
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with staff, community, customers and helicopter operator
- Taking care of customers and handling queries
- Finding solutions and reassuring guests in case of flight disruption
- Loading and unloading luggage weighing up to 20kg each, often in challenging weather conditions
- Taking responsibility for the daily inspection of all vehicles. Working with a checklist from Engineering – all defects will be immediately reported to the Heliport Manager
- Identifying and mitigating risk in a compliance environment and staying accountable for your own actions to ensure the safe operation of the heliport
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Should have good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must Have a full driving license (clean preferred)
- Must be confident in driving larger vehicles
- Work well individually and as part of a wider team
- Should be a confident problem solver and able to think logistically
- Fit and able to lift baggage to and from boats and other vehicles
- Will be experienced in working to a fluid schedule which is subject to delay and changes depending on weather etc
On Tresco island there are timeshare and rental cottages, two restaurants, an inn, a world-famous garden, gallery, leisure spa, shop and a working farm. On Bryher we have an award-winning boutique hotel with 25 suites, a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, Crab Shack, therapy shed, yoga studio and outdoor pool.
We offer excellent rates of pay, provide all staff with accommodation and pay for your travel from Penzance at the beginning and end of your contract period.

Located in the Isles of Scilly, 28 miles from Lands’ End, Cornwall, Tresco and Bryher have small and welcoming communities.
