At the core of our Transport function are our Paramount team of Transport Planners. We are looking for people who enjoy being a team player in an active role and a fast paced environment.

What’s the opportunity?

Earning potential: £28,000 per annum

Shift Patterns Available: 4 on 4 off, 42 hours a week over 7 days

Place of Work: Mackean Logistics Building, Port of Larne

About the role

As a Transport Planner you will plan, organise and manage the work of Drivers and their routes. This will ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organisational requirements and so that it reaches the customer on time and in perfect condition. This role will involve fully debriefing Drivers to ensure the highest level of customer care. A key element of the role is monitoring all routes and escalating any issues appropriately.

Who you’ll be

• Driven, with a keen focus on safety
• Experience of administration in a busy transport environment
• PC literate (Word and Excel minimum)
• Numerate
• Literate
• Good verbal and written communication
• Good attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills

What you’ll be doing

• Resourcing the daily transport plan
• Interacting with our 3rd party warehouse provider
• Providing the highest level of customer care
• Building good working relationships internally and externally
• The monitoring of all routes ensuring all routes are running on time and escalating to the Team Manager on shift where appropriate
• Debriefing Drivers on return
• Effective time management to ensure the job is completed within the set time frame provided
• Monitoring Drivers hours to ensure we are compliant at all times,
