Transport Packer Operative - Nightshift Peterborough, England
Job description
At SafeGuard, we specialise in the manufacture of sealed units for glazing as well as the processing of many other glass products. Established in 1995, we have over 28 years of experience in providing high quality glass and glazing, with a reputation for exceptional service.
We are looking for a Transport Packing Operative to work in our busy Peterborough factory. Duties of the role include:
· Packing glass products onto stillages
· Loading glass products onto vans
· Loading stillages onto lorries (using the forklift)
· Checking orders on the computerised system
· General cleaning and tidying of the yard and transport section
Working hours for this role are:
- 6 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday on the day shift, or
- 10 pm to 6 am Sunday night to Friday morning on the night shift.
- Overtime is available.
Full training for the role will be given. It would be an advantage if you have you have a driving licence, forklift truck and jib crane certification.
The rate of pay offered for this role is:
- £10.60 to £11.10 per hour, depending on experience for the day shift .
- £13.88 per hour for the night shift.
- Over time paid at time and a half. There is also a monthly and annual performance bonus.
