Join our Security team and experience bringing intelligent technology and advanced threat expertise to organisations that form the UK's Critical National Infrastructure, this specialist team helps to simplify their day-to-day cyber security operations, enabling their own people to focus on their bigger strategic priorities.
What you'll do
- Responsible for network build, optimisation & inventory of VBSE core & access network infrastructure.
- Working with Vodafone technical teams to deliver and maintain a new core network against HLD/LLD requirements
- Ownership of transmission inventories and successful handover to Operations (Fibre routing/Channel allocations/As built documentation)
- Provide technical support/assistance on Vodafone VBSE transmission platform, ownership of escalated issues and drive to resolution
- Manage equipment upgrades in association with equipment vendors and liaise with the change management function pre and post implementation
Who you are
- Delivery of Transmission networks in line with network expansion road map
- Promote and develop good working relations with other Departments, external agencies and Contractors.
- Have an ongoing view of new customer access tails, managing new access process & ensuring cessation process is managed effectively
- Knowledge of internal network inventory systems (MORI/CRAMER/GIS) as well as company network capability
Knowledge of:
- DWDM/OTN principles
- Multiservice/Reconfigurable Switching
- Optical Switching
- Transmission Network Management Systems (NMS)
- Legacy SDH/PDH Networks
- Synchronisation
Security Clearance: This position requires the eligibility and ability to obtain and hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
