What you'll do


  • Responsible for network build, optimisation & inventory of VBSE core & access network infrastructure.
  • Working with Vodafone technical teams to deliver and maintain a new core network against HLD/LLD requirements
  • Ownership of transmission inventories and successful handover to Operations (Fibre routing/Channel allocations/As built documentation)
  • Provide technical support/assistance on Vodafone VBSE transmission platform, ownership of escalated issues and drive to resolution
  • Manage equipment upgrades in association with equipment vendors and liaise with the change management function pre and post implementation


Who you are


  • Delivery of Transmission networks in line with network expansion road map
  • Promote and develop good working relations with other Departments, external agencies and Contractors.
  • Have an ongoing view of new customer access tails, managing new access process & ensuring cessation process is managed effectively
  • Knowledge of internal network inventory systems (MORI/CRAMER/GIS) as well as company network capability

Knowledge of:

  • DWDM/OTN principles
  • Multiservice/Reconfigurable Switching
  • Optical Switching
  • Transmission Network Management Systems (NMS)
  • Legacy SDH/PDH Networks
  • Synchronisation


Security Clearance:
This position requires the eligibility and ability to obtain and hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
