Role Snapshot
The Operational Training Specialist will contribute to a high functioning remote training team that drives WPS Health Solutions to a competitive advantage within the insurance industry. Our trainers develop and facilitate curriculum to both internal and external customers using adult learning principles incorporating current brain research in a highly engaged learning environment.
As part of this role, you will be expected to complete the following job expectations:
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects within a very fast-paced, ever changing work environment.
- Create a positive and fun virtual learning environment for participants, while managing classroom environment and in-class documentation, such as: assessment scores, skills/knowledge gaps, etc.
- Ability to learn and keep up to date with job skills, systems, and procedures for business units supported.
- Work collaboratively with training colleagues and Instructional Design to support business unit requests and identify curriculum efficiencies, such as topics that would better serve as an online course vs virtual delivery.
- Ability to assess the comprehension and understanding of participants in a virtual training environment and adjust facilitation style to address the needs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for another Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC).
- 2 or more years of related work experience in Medicare claims processing, knowledge of FISS and MCS systems – DME experience a plus.
- 2 or more years of experience developing and maintaining course objectives, curriculum materials (i.e., participant guides, job aids etc.) and course assessments.
- 2 or more years of experience preparing and facilitating compliance, process, and system trainings.
- Experience planning and facilitating distance learning training events that are typically 15 participants but can range up to 50.
- Experience using critical thinking skills and making sound decisions to determine employment continuation and/or termination of participant(s) from a training class.
- Strong experience using virtual technology to deliver training (i.e. Webex, MS Teams, etc.).
Salary Range
$60,000 to $70,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
