Job description

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Learning and Development Lead to join a fantastic company. Reporting to the head of Safety and People you will be responsible for identifying training and development needs within the business. Working in conjunction with department managers to design and implement training and development programmes.

Full time 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday 08.00 am to 16:30 pm

Salary: depending on experience

The key accountabilities for this role are:

  • In conjunction with department managers formulating a training needs analysis and a training plan including upskilling and development of employees.
  • Liaising with relevant departmental managers to ensure all statutory training is carried out as required.
  • Sourcing and organising internal and external training with the relevant departments / external providers.
  • Producing required training materials.
  • Reviewing training records to ensure they are accurately completed; the training matrix is maintained accurately and meets audit standards.
  • Reviewing and monitoring training effectiveness to ensure skills and knowledge are being applied.
  • Lead the train the trainer model.
  • Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of training.
  • Communicating regularly with managers to ensure that training is progressing as scheduled.
  • Recording and tracking training information
  • Preparing training reports
  • Making recommendations on any training needs, including systems and processes.
  • Keeping up to date with any legislation/regulations that impact training content.

The successful candidate must have/be:

  • Must be train the trainer certified.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise key tasks.
  • Competent in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence (orally and written)
  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Experience of working within food manufacturing
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must have an understanding of different learning techniques
