Training Coordinator
What we do
Country Style Foods are a family owned, modern craft bakery manufacturer working closely with leading retailers and food service operators. The family have over 150 years' experience in the flour milling and bakery trade, and since 1960 have seen the business grow from a single bakery shop, to several large industrial sites, specialising in high volume production of quality, artisan breads and bakery goods.
This role is based at the Carnaby site, close to Bridlington where we specialise in producing bread rolls, Tiger loaves, and Sourdough products. Currently we have over 300 colleagues with plans to grow to over 400 in the coming year.
Purpose:
This role will work with the site management team in providing training support and guidance in all aspects of training on site. The successful individual will devise training plans and train others to become confident trainers whereby we create a fully trained workforce. They will also provide training & assessment materials to ensure all employees are trained in all tasks they perform to ensure a safe and audit compliant workplace at all times.
Responsibilities:
· Assess & sign off employees against tasks being carried out;
· Work with relevant team member in SOP/SSOW writing, creating new SOP/SSOW for new equipment that enters site, or changes to procedures, ensuring up to date at all times;
· To carry out gap analysis with management teams for all functions;
· Ensure Skills Matrix is kept up to date;
· Support training of employees by providing training materials support and guidance to help employee gain required knowledge for the task they carry out;
· Write & deliver classroom training sessions where necessary;
· Deliver inductions to new starters in conjunction with HR;
· Support continuous improvement projects, train employees to use continuous improvement tools effectively;
· Create Knowledge questions for all tasks being carried out;
· Effectively communicate with all management & employees;
· Provide KPI data as required. Keep up to date with customer codes of practice for
training and to be audit ready at all times;
· Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques;
· Training action plan to be kept up to date and shared with Site/Manufacturing Manager and HR;
· Attend meetings as required.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be required to undertake any other request as required by management. In addition, you will undertake any training that the company deems necessary that may assist you to effectively carry out the above responsibilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Train the Trainer L3 (or equivalent);
- A1 Assessors award or equivalent;
- PTTLS Preparing to teach L3 – or equivalent (desirable but not essential);
- Food Safety L4 (L3 minimum preferable);
- IOSH (Desirable but not essential);

The role will predominantly work Monday to Friday however, flexibility is essential to support working with the day and night teams with occasional weekend support necessary.

Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
