In our ongoing investment in our people, we are looking for a Training Instructor who specialises in Confined Space, that shares our core values; respect for people, hard work and enterprise, excellence in reputation and to make the world a safer place for everyone.
About the role
Working from our state-of-the-art training facility in Warrington, our Confined Space Training Instructor will deliver expert training and advice to our customers employees. The training will involve utilising the fantastic facilities and equipment within our training centre, whilst also visiting customer sites from time to time, delivering best in class training on a daily basis. Our customers vary from huge global businesses to SME's, so there'll be a huge variety of training to offer.
As an Arco Safety Services Training Instructor, you will deliver a wide range of client support services, aligned to your skill set, both accredited and non-accredited. On a day-to-day basis you will:
Deliver, and be involved with the delivery of, a wide range of client support services, aligned to your skill set, both accredited and non-accredited
Support the delivery of a range of Health & Safety Training courses
Help in the generation of new clients and promoting the range of services available through Arco Professional Safety Services
Develop and deliver bespoke client courses
Maintain the training equipment and storage areas
Assist with practical demonstrations and equipment sales events
About you
The ideal Confined Space Training Instructor will:
Have a full UK Driving Licence
Hold at least one of the below qualifications and be prepared to develop and train in other areas:
Accreditation to be able to deliver Confined Space Training (City & Guilds)
Teaching qualification – Level 3 Education and Training or equivalent
Assessor Qualification – A1 (TAQA)
Health & Safety – Tech IOSH or above
Work at Height – IRATA Level 1 (minimum)
Possess good verbal communication skills, interpersonal and influencing skills
Be able to work as part of a team and alone unsupervised
Have strong IT skills with a knowledge of presentation packages and equipment
Be happy to travel (when needed) to client sites, as well as occasional out of hours/ weekend working (pre-agreed)
