Not as customers buying energy, but as members with a common goal. Field Services, part of OVO Retail, is at the heart of bringing Britain’s energy system into the 21st Century. Field Services is integral to creating a smart energy system which will mean that our energy networks are run in a completely new way. You’ll be working within our Customer Delivery department as part of Field Services which was created to support rapid growth, delivering on OVOs 3 year strategy. What will I be doing? As a Training & Development Specialist, you’ll bring your familiarity with learning techniques, and be creative, analytical, and customer obsessed. You will be willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done while insisting on the highest standards and measuring the impact of the learning experiences you build. Our Training & Development Specialists will rapidly produce content via various methods including eLearning and simulations; build tool kits, job aids; create engaging video; and source and employ innovative methods of delivery. Delivering training both virtually and face to face to a varied population of our people across Field Services. This role will also help drive team projects to improve the impact we have on engineers' success – you will take initiative to understand critical business needs, analyse issues, and collaborate with team managers, subject matter experts and tech teams to develop scalable solutions. Conduct scoping to ensure full training needs analysis with input from Operations, and OVO Retail L&D teams. Consult with subject matter experts and content providers/owners to design storyboards, audio/video scripts, job aids/infographics, scenarios, online course content and classroom based learning. Design and deliver Inductions for new starters within Field Services primarily at our site in Bristol. Design and deliver Pathways for professional development of all Field Services employees, from Engineers through to management, ensuring that the content is in line with company developments, policy changes and industry standards primarily in Bristol, London and Glasgow. Drive successful uptake and completion of professional development Pathways. Support with the management of relationships with our people so they have a point of contact to refer to. Develop, coach and inspire delegates to fulfil their potential on various programmes. Design engaging knowledge-checks, simulations, and assessments based on learning to ensure learning outcomes are achieved. Drive engagement with non technical learning within Field Services, promoting a culture of continual improvement and growth. Ensure learning is tracked on the learning management system and all records retained meet the requirements of our quality frameworks. Contribute to reporting on training activities and analyse data in order to drive results and measure learning effectiveness. Maintain a strong relationship with training providers and internal stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of training programmes. Maintain the Field Services training calendar looking for opportunities for delivery. Is this the job for me? Essential skills and experience: Experience delivering training to people from entry level to senior leaders, through various methods Experience designing training content for both classroom led and online learning Experience of programme/pathway creation from start to finish Knowledge and experience in use of the full learning cycle Extensive knowledge of professional development of individuals Experience of developing and delivering non-technical training programmes A proven track record of developing productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders and capable of influencing at all levels Proven ability to multitask and prioritise critical tasks with a high attention to detail Ability to experiment and be creative, flexible, and innovative in course design and content delivery Superior written and verbal communication skills and ability to succinctly summarise key findings A positive attitude, proving approachable and accessible to colleagues at all levels.
