Rig Systems Trainer/Instructor Job Description
Job Summary
Rig Systems is based in Okehampton, Devon and is an leading provider of safety access training, equipment supply and provision of emergency response teams for UK and overseas clients.
We are looking to appoint full time or associate Confined Space/Working at Height Instructors.
UK based with travel to external client sites.
Our training courses provide training across the range of sectors involving delivering at height, confined space and first aid courses to a wide range of industrial sectors and emergency services clients.
Our courses have been accredited by external organisations such as IRATA, City and Guilds,
GWO and Qualsafe. In addition, we are also a ISO9001 registered Company and supply a wide range of working at height, rope access and confined space equipment.
Due to our continued growth we are seeking to appoint full time trainers or associates with any one or more of the following skills and the ability to instruct;
Key Skills Area:
- The safe use of personal fall protection equipment, including work restraint, work positioning, fall arrest and rescue.
- IRATA I3 Instructor
- Confined Space and Breathing Apparatus, Access and Rescue training.
- First aid courses up to and including FREC 3 level.
The role will consist of the planning and delivering of associated training depending on skill set.
Trainers will ensure quality of delivery against the company’s accredited standards, legislation and the National Occupational Standards. Opportunity will be provided for CPD and upskilling to other competencies for suitable candidates.
Desirable Qualifications:
TAQA, Teaching qualification min level 3 AET or equivalent
City and Guilds in Confined Space 6150 or 6160 series
IRATA Level 3I or working towards
WaH Instructor certification
NEBOSH
FAW or FREC3
Required Skills:
- Must have excellent organisational and communication skills. IT skills to include
Microsoft Office software packages, Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
- Knowledge of or qualification in Health and Safety and risk assessments.
- A full UK driving license.
Hours of Work
1. 40 hour week, which will include some weekend and out of hours travelling.
Time Off in Lieu (Toil) arrangements will be put in place as part of your employment contract for additional hours worked.
Holidays and Vehicle
25 days paid holiday entitlement per annum (pro rata), plus standard public holidays.
Company van and fuel card will be provided.

Salary: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
