The Role - Trainee Technician
Working alongside our highly skilled team you will work towards acquiring the skills necessary to manufacture, amend or repair our world renowned, market leading products within Paper Technology. As a Trainee, you will receive training in a diverse range of duties, these will include:
- Operation of basic and specialist workshop machinery.
- Highly intricate soldering and brazing processes.
- Electroforming.
- CNC Engraving.
- Roll grinding.
- Embossing.
- And other key skills associated with the manufacture of Watermarking products.
- In process and final QA inspections.
- Overhead Crane and Forklift Truck activities.
- Ensuring your own safety and the safety of others in all working practices.
The candidate:
Experience is not necessary as full training will be given; however the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Technical/mechanical or artistic qualities would be advantageous.
- Competent in the use of basic hand tools, would be beneficial.
- Excellent hand dexterity and good level of vision.
- Self-motivated with a good focussed work ethic and attention to detail.
- Be conscientious with a desire to learn.
- Comfortable working on own or as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility will be required to cover particularly busy periods. (Overtime)

Normal hours of work Mon-Thu 8:00 – 16:30 & 08:00 – 16:00 Friday. (Occasional overtime may be required).
Remuneration will be £/hr subject to experience.
