Looking to SWITCH lanes with your career? At Hendy, we are delighted to be able to launch a new SWITCH Lanes initiative, backed by the IMI to support you in becoming a SMART Repair Technician.

This will include a 6-month IMI recognised programme resulting in a Professional Achievement Certification for SMART repair on completion.

You will learn how to carry out local paintwork, light filling repairs, windscreen repairs and cosmetic refurbishing of road wheels on all makes of vehicles to the highest standard.

Previous experience is not essential - we are looking for people with the right attitude and behaviours that want to start a technicians career with Team Hendy.

The Opportunity:

As a Trainee SMART Repair Technician, you will learn to;

  • Repair minor accident damage to panels and alloy wheels, painting, lacquering and finishing, and all other minor cosmetic repairs in our Bodyshop;
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy; and
  • Be responsible for your own health and safety and that of others around you.

About You:

  • No previous mechanical or SMART repair experience is required;
  • To be able to work as part of a team;
  • A flexible and ‘can do’ approach to work;
  • The ability to work on your own initiative; and
  • A full UK driving licence.
