Trainee Project Manager Construction Leeds, England
Job description

Our client, based in Leeds 12, are a market leader in providing complete storage solutions including warehouse racking, shelves and mezzanine floors. They pride themselves in delivering all projects on time and to budget. Due to promotion, they are now looking to recruit a Trainee Project Manager.
Working in conjunction with the Contract Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring a project file is set up after handover and that all relevant information is completed on the project tracking and contract check sheet.
- Implementing 2nd survey when required.
- If necessary redesign drawings to ensure correct specification.
- Order all necessary materials and labour required at the most effective cost.
- In conjunction with the suppliers, installers and customer ensure that work in progress is scheduled correctly, with materials and labour on site as required.
- Ensure that all SEMA and Health and Safety requirements are fulfilled on site.
- Ensure that loading calculations are correct.
- Ensure that costing v supplier invoices match and correct margins are allocated to job.
- Ensure that a final site inspection is carried out when required and a completion certificate is signed off by the customer.
As a trainee all necessary tuition and instruction will be given in a formal programme to ensure competency and capability in the role of project manager.
The ideal candidate will possess all or some of the following experience and attributes:
- A construction related qualification
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Some knowledge of CAD
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office
- A desire to learn and progress in a career
- A clean driving licence
Starting salary is c18,000 -19,000 hours of work 8.30 am - 5.00 pm. All formal training courses and qualifications will be provided.
