What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the development/production and analysis of business data by using project control and monitoring tools, techniques, and processes
- Producing and analysing data with accuracy, identifying, and forecasting trends to meet targets, and managing projects to time, cost, and quality
- Providing support to project managers and control account managers to enable effective cost, planning and scheduling, risk, opportunity, and resource management
- Supporting the identification and management of risks and opportunities and learning from experience
- Working cross-functionally across the Project Management & Controls functional teams to contribute a coherent position on programme performance, risks, and opportunities
Your skills and experiences:
- Demonstrable PC literacy to an excellent standard through academic qualifications and/or examples of using IT packages to analyse and present data
- Ability to study to a Level 4 Qualification
- Have English and Maths – C and above at GCSE or level 2 equivalent
- Understand the principles of Planning and Project Control processes
- Evidence of professional behaviours

The Project team:
The Submarine business is looking to grow its existing Project Professionals Workforce though a Project Management & Controls Development Scheme. The Project Management & Controls Development Scheme will consist of:
- A one-week induction specialising in our product and the office environment.
- Weekly day-release over a 6-month period, to study for a University Certificate in Project Controls through the University of Cumbria.
- A 6-month placement within the business that will run alongside your university studies.
Once you have successfully completed the 6 months scheme, you will move into a permanent role in one of our programmes where you will continue to develop your competencies as a trainee. You will be required to apply your learning in role, develop your academic and business capabilities, and demonstrate excellent professional behaviours in order to facilitate your own personal development.
