Job description
This ad is for all of you hard working, committed, veteran Behavior Technicians who have done time in the trenches and know what’s up…
The state of our field is a hot mess right now.
- You’re expected to do uncompensated work duties
- Your employer’s profits are prioritized above your clients’ progress
- Your fellow Behavior Technicians are thrown out in the field with little training and even less support
- Your BCBAs have giant (and unethical) caseload sizes
- Company profit motives drive clinical recommendations, rather than the clients’ improvement and the empirically supported standard of care
- Greedy, monied interests are buying up ABA companies left and right with empty promises of “better access to care,” which is usually a lie. Even when it’s not a lie, it’s achieved by treating employees and clients like dirt in the pursuit of ever higher profit margins, at least until they sell off and gut the only help available to families.
The problems go on and on.
On the flip side to all of that, All Better Together was formed more than eight years ago for those who love the science of ABA and love how it can shape lives for the better. We want to be the antidote to the rotten treatment those in the trenches too often have to endure.
We are small by design and have no interest in growing at the expense of quality. Never have. Never will.
At All Better Together, the person signing your paychecks spent the first 14 of his 21 years in the field working in those trenches. He’s not some vulture-looking hedge fund manager. While he was fortunate enough to receive a great education and some great mentorship and experience along the way, he also had more than his fair share of crap treatment by employers. He earned his stripes being a fierce, at times brazen advocate for the Behavior Techs he oversaw even when it meant aggravating and speaking truth to power to the higher ups. He wanted to be the antidote to crummy BT treatment, and so All Better Together was born with that drive and that purpose at the forefront, along with a commitment to the science and providing the resources it actually takes to create and maintain great ABA programs for the clients we serve.
Are you tired of being disgusted with what you see going on in your workplace? Does everyone call you a “rockstar” but simultaneously treat you more like an abused roadie? You’ll find your antidote at All Better Together.
If you come with a good work ethic and understand that everyday counts in improving the lives of the kids you work with, we want to talk to you. We promise straight honest talk. You’ll know what you’re getting with us, not just being told what you want to hear and then getting a bait and switch. If this sounds good to you, read on for the details then click to apply.
