Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Grade: Band 4
Ward/Dept: Pharmacy – Purchasing & Distribution
Trust: Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Unipart House, Cowley, OX4 2PG
Hours: Full time – Weekdays, 7.5hrs between Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00
Pay rate ( pay includes Holiday Pay) : Day £19.14
Are you a qualified Pharmacy Technician who has worked within Hospital Settings? Do you have an all-round knowledge of hospital pharmaceutical procedures?
NHS Professionals have exciting opportunities for a Pharmacy Technician to support our client trusts. You will maintain key relationships with co-workers and other health care professionals across the Trust to ensure an effective service.
Oxford University Hospitals is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK. The role will be based at John Radcliffe Hospital, which is a ten-minute drive from the city centre.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Role isn't patient-facing, more office based and as it's data heavy, skills like attention to detail & good IT skills are essential.
To process authorise and receipt Homecare deliveries on the pharmacy system.
Ensure accurate maintenance of databases to include, but not limited to; for patients receiving homecare services, query logs, error reporting etc.
To work with senior Homecare Technicians to develop and implement effective systems for administering patient access schemes (PAS).
To work closely with the Specialist Pharmacists offering appropriate support and ensure an efficient service.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
Qualified Technician; NVQ Level 3 is Standard requirement
Available a minimum of 3 days per week
Hospital Experience – Desirable
