Trainee MIG Welder - Process Engineer

We are looking for a reliable, self improving MIG welder that strives to better themselves every day to take themselves AND the business to new heights.
Job role:
- MIG welder. Using jigs to weld up and assemble our products to the highest possible standard (we do not require you to work from drawings)
- Welding (MIG) thin steel tubing
- A process engineer who looks to improve every process
- Keeping a safe and responsive work environment
- Quality control / attention to detail in every weld
- Focus and maintain workflow
- Helping out the team wherever possible - cross training
- Eliminate defects in the production line
- Maintain all equipment to the highest standard
The successful candidate will:
- Have researched Lean Thinking, particularly Paul Akers 2 Second Lean
- Have some experience or desire to learn MIG welding
- Ensure quality is added with each process
- Have a good understanding of the set up, operation and maintenance of our welding equipment
- Have great communication skills, they are essential to work with team members and converse with customers and clients

- Assemble all components with help of power and hand tools
- Be confident to speak up in meetings

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm | Friday 7.30am - 1.30pm
Overtime is currently available at a higher rate
Pay: Starting rate £12.36ph
Once your probation period has finished, you will be assessed monthly on your character, where your pay will be adjusted to match your rating.
