About Ogilvy

Ogilvy Health is the health division of Ogilvy – the most highly-awarded creative agency worldwide for the past 3 years. Our health division is one of the largest global networks in healthcare communications and provides strategic, integrated communication solutions for our clients, including many of the biggest names in the pharmaceutical industry. Ogilvy Health is made up of healthcare communication specialists across the disciplines of medical education and scientific communications; brain sciences; brand marketing and communications; digital and social media; strategic planning; public relations; and creative/design. We believe we are like no other: we blaze new trails; we encourage a culture of creativity and innovation; we challenge, and we change; and we recognise and reward our team.

In medical education, our approach is founded on expertise that combines biomedical science, learning theory and behaviour change to create impactful medical and professional education.

We are 'Scientifically Grounded, Creatively Driven and Brain Powered'.

Join our award winning 'CATALYST' writers' academy!

The CATALYST writers' academy is an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about writing and looking to pursue a career in medical and scientific communications.

CATALYST has been developed as a 2-year course, using our industry-leading expertise in adult learning. As a new trainee medical writer, you will first complete a six-week intensive course led by medical education experts. This will be followed by assignment to a live account, where you will be closely mentored by senior writers, and have the opportunity to contribute to a range of active projects. Your on-the-job training will be supported by a CATALYST course leader and supplemented by additional CATALYST sessions designed to ensure you have the skills and knowledge that you need for different aspects of your role.

On successful completion of the first six months of CATALYST, you will progress to our Medical Writer level 1 role, with an expectation to progress through Medical Writer levels 2 and 3 during the full 2-year CATALYST programme.

The 2-year CATALYST course is based on a 5-day working week, but we encourage open conversations about flexible working; our core working model is '3:2', with two days in one of our offices (London, Oxford or Manchester), and three days wherever you work best within the UK.

  • Please note the closing date for applications is Friday 30th June and we will be holding our assessment day on Friday 14th July on site in our London office (Sea Containers House).
