Job description
JTC are a leading manufacturer of kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture. We currently have an opening in our Estimating and Design Department.
Main duties/responsibilities:
- Assisting Kitchen Estimators
- Prepare draft estimates from Billing, Written Instructions and Drawings - to be vetted by Kitchen Estimators
- Qualify costing of bespoke items, and where necessary give details of specific material requirements and proposed method of production - to be vetted by Kitchen Estimators
- Liaising with customers to confirm orders, design details, agree prices and deal with queries
- Prepare kitchen layout drawings from architectural plans/sketches
- Prepare Take Off/Order Entry handover sheets
- Maintain records
Experience
Some relevant experience would be advantageous however, full training will be given. Understanding of joinery and manufacturing processes for the production of kitchens would be an advantage.
Required skills
- Experience or proficiency in a Kitchen Design package
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft packages
- Experience in CAD (an advantage)
- Ability to understand written project specifications
- Ability to read architectural drawings
