We offer an exciting opportunity to join our Stress Engineering Department. Our Junior Stress Engineers are responsible for conducting analysis and compiling reports under the guidance of more experienced stress engineers. Applicants with no prior stress experience may apply for the role of Junior Stress Engineers provided they have a relevant Engineering degree as explained in the ‘Candidate Requirements.’
Stress Engineers are responsible for ensuring that aircraft structure and systems installation designs are adequate to maintain structural integrity and satisfy the appropriate airworthiness regulations. A key feature of the job is cultivating and maturing skills and experience within the organisation. This will include taking action to ensure that lessons learned are embodied into updated procedures and/or deliverables and mentoring less experienced engineers. This level requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience depending on qualification.
Offers will be made based on qualification and experience.

Applicants for stress engineer positions must possess a degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Aerospace, Aeronautical, Manufacturing, Mechanical) together with 2 years’ relevant and recent stress engineering experience in aerospace.
Or
A minimum of an HNC in an Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering related subject together with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant and recent stress engineering experience in aerospace.

Principal accountabilities:
- Performing structural analysis using traditional and mathematical modelling techniques.
- Preparing structural analysis certification reports for submission to the airworthiness authorities.
- Performing activities required to demonstrate compliance with certification requirements e.g. preparing test requirement and evaluation reports.
- Stress approving new designs, modifications, manufacturing repairs and in-service repairs.
- Contributing to the solution of engineering problems, in a team environment, that maintains structural integrity and meets the overall engineering goals.

- Be articulate and able to communicate information clearly and concisely.
