Skills required:
Good organisational skills to suit working in a workshop-type environment

Excellent communication skills with colleagues as well as customers and suppliers
Understanding and ability to work to deadlines is essential
Physical fitness as you will be lifting raw materials
The role involves the following duties:
Learning to identify different types of wood / timber and their uses, choosing the right piece for a job.
Preparing and coating timber ready for assembling into various benches, planters and other street furniture.
Understanding and working to technical drawings
Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs
Assisting with the control of materials within the workshop
Producing cutting lists
Assisting to make masters and moulds
Using hand tools working up to cutting wood on machines. (full training will be given)
Working to production schedules and budgets
Conducting quality checks on supplies and finished products
Job type:
Full-time, permanent
40 hour week
8am – 5pm Monday – Thursday
8am – 2pm on Friday
