Due to expansion through ever increasing job levels across the Country; an exciting employment opportunity has arisen for qualified Gas Engineers to crossover into Domestic White Goods. Utilising your existing qualifications we'll train you how to repair domestic Gas cookers and hobs as well as the full range of domestic electrical household appliances, including laundry appliances, cooking and refrigeration.

You as the ideal Trainee Domestic Gas Appliance Engineer will be:
ACS Qualified with minimum competencies of CCN1 and CKR1
Mechanically/electrically minded
Methodical in your approach to work
Have a basic understanding of electrical workings
Experienced and confident in using hand tools
Have a keen interest in repairs and or workings of appliances/devices/machinery
Proficient in using technology - i.e. tablets/mobile phones/Microsoft packages
The role will involve working in our customer's home where you will meet a variety of people from all walks of life so excellent interpersonal skills are a must. You will also need to be:
Smart and presentable
Friendly and helpful
Trustworthy and reliable
Team Player
Flexible to working hours
Articulate and a good communicator
Good with English (verbally and written)
Important: You will need to hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
What will be covered in the training?
Training is provided through a combination of residential weeks at our Pacifica training academy based in the North East - covering both classroom-based learning and hands on practical work. The training will cover the following areas:
Health and safety
Repair of domestic appliances
Installation of refrigeration systems and components
Safe working environments
Maintaining effective working relationships
Pacifica Perfect Visit

Specialist training
Experience and skills:
ACS qualifications with minimum competencies of CCN1 and CKR1 are essential. No experience in White Goods repair is needed as full training will be given, however we are looking for candidates with a background in practical/hands on roles with skills that can be transferable into this role.
Full Valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points is required.
