Employment: Fixed Term Contract (6 Months)
Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week
Location: Home/Leicester
Salary: Grade 3 (£20,750 - £22,500) pro-rata for part-time

What are we looking for?
Futures are recruiting for a Trainee Careers Adviser to work as part of the Future Contact Centre (FCC) Team within the Leicester team providing support for careers information, advice and guidance (IAG) to customers via the National Careers Helpline. Work will be carried out through individual consultations via email, online chat, social media or telephone.
As a Trainee Careers Adviser, you'll need to:
- provide first line impartial careers information, advice to young people and adults via the telephone, e-mail or webchat
- interview people one-to-one to discuss their career or education options
- listen to their ideas and career aims
- identify skills gaps and how to deal with them
- help clients identify and consider the range of choices available to them and outline possible ways forward
- help clients develop their own career management skills
- provide advice on suitable courses, training and possible funding options
- work effectively and flexibly within a team
- discuss with clients how to overcome any barriers to reaching their goals and refer them to other agencies for advice where appropriate.
- engage in continual quality improvement processes, as defined by Futures, and maintain quality standards appropriate to the post
- Convert customer contact into full IAG sessions to refer to the Face to Face teams or via the Contact Centre
